Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Driver Payroll Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll processing for our fleet of drivers. You will ensure that drivers are paid accurately and on time, accounting for complex variables such as mileage, hourly rates, per diems, safety bonuses, and state or regional compliance rules.

Key Responsibilities
Process weekly or bi-weekly payroll cycles for company drivers and/or owner-operators.
Audit and verify driver logs, electronic logging device (ELD) data, trip reports, and fuel receipts against submitted timesheets or mileage claims.
Calculate complex driver-specific pay components including per-mile rates, detention pay, layover allowances, per diem, and performance bonuses.
Process accurate tax withholdings, garnishments, and other payroll deductions in compliance with local and national regulations.
Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies in load pay, route delays, or missing trip documentation.
Maintain up-to-date driver profile records, including banking details, tax updates,



and contract amendments.
Generate regular payroll expense reports and audit summaries for the finance and management teams.
Respond promptly to driver inquiries regarding pay, settlements, deductions, or tax forms.

Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience (1–3 years) in payroll administration, preferably within transportation, logistics, or a fleet-heavy industry.
Strong familiarity with transport-specific pay structures (mileage vs. hourly, per diem rules) is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in payroll management software and advanced data entry skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data reconciliation.
Excellent numerical aptitude and high attention to detail to prevent compensation errors.
Solid communication and customer-service mindset when dealing with remote drivers.
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in accounting, finance, or business administratio
