About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious Associate – Accounting & Finance to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare management accounts, perform reconciliations, and support client reporting and year-end processes for international clients.
The role involves working with US and UK accounting standards and requires robust attention to detail, effective communication, independent ownership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage regular transaction processing across a portfolio of clients.
- Complete monthly finance and accounting activities.
- Design and set up bespoke accounting processes for individual clients.
- Oversee month-end close activities, including identifying and posting journal entries.
- Manage client finance inboxes and respond to inbound queries as appropriate.
- Prepare management accounts.
- Perform analytical reviews of your own work and work completed by other team members.
- Support ad-hoc projects, including financial consolidation, business plans, and due diligence.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
- Maintain a high standard of client service.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Commerce or a related field.
- Semi-qualified CA/ACCA candidates are also eligible.
- 3–4 years of experience in UK/US accounting.
- Hands-on experience with Xero and QuickBooks.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Good understanding of IFRS and UK/US GAAP.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace — Docs, Sheets, and Slides — is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and client coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
