The role
You sit in the founder's office and hold two things at once. The first is our legacy trading business — books, entries, stock-in-trade inventory, and the discipline of keeping a small operation clean and current. The second is a bootstrapped product company being built for scale, where invoicing, statements, and transactional history are being designed into software rather than maintained by hand.
You are the bridge between those two. You know what an entry has to look like in Tally, and you sit with the team while they build the systems that will eventually produce those entries themselves.

What you will do
Maintain day-to-day accounting entries, ledgers, and reconciliations for the legacy business in Tally ERP
Track stock-in-trade inventory, purchase and sales records, and vendor and customer balances
Prepare invoices, statements of account, and transactional summaries
Work with the product team to define how invoicing, statements, and transaction history should behave in our platform — what fields matter,



what breaks reconciliation, what an accountant actually needs
Help map data between the platform and accounting systems including Tally and Zoho Books
Put together clear internal presentations and summaries for the founder

What we are looking for
3–5 years of hands-on accounting entry experience, not supervisory-only experience
Thorough working knowledge of Tally ERP; familiarity with Zoho Books is an advantage
Clear written and spoken communication, and the patience to explain accounting logic to people who build software
Comfort with spreadsheets and basic presentation work
Maturity and stability — this is a small, homely office, and the role rewards someone who wants to stay and own it
Willingness to work on-site in South Delhi

What this role is not
It is not a coding role. You will not be asked to write software. You will be asked to tell the people who do when they have got the accounting wrong.
