Role Description The UK Accounts & Tax Team Lead – Remote, India will oversee a team delivering UK accounting and tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This full-time remote role involves managing day-to-day client accounting operations, including reviewing bookkeeping, preparing management accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely VAT, corporate tax, and personal tax filings. The role includes supervising team workloads, monitoring quality of work, and providing technical guidance on UK GAAP, UK tax rules, and MTD compliance.

The Team

Lead will collaborate with UK-based colleagues, ensure effective communication with clients,



support process improvements, and leverage cloud accounting tools such as Xero to streamline workflows and reporting. The position also involves contributing to training, mentoring team members, and supporting implementation of best practices in digital accounting and tax compliance.

Qualifications

- Robust UK accounting and tax knowledge, including UK GAAP, VAT, corporate tax, and personal tax compliance.
- Proficiency with cloud accounting platforms (ideally Xero), digital workflows, and Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
- Experience leading or supervising accounting teams, including workload planning, performance oversight, and mentoring.
- Advanced analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and client service skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly and manage client expectations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate across time zones.
- Professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred; relevant UK practice experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with UK compliance processes (Companies House filings, HMRC submissions) and standard practice management tools is beneficial.
