Role Description The Trip Captain is responsible for leading and managing trips, tours, and on-ground travel experiences for Adventure Diaries. This full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India involves coordinating itineraries, overseeing logistics, and ensuring a smooth and safe travel experience for participants. Day-to-day tasks include welcoming and briefing travelers, managing schedules and transportation, resolving on-trip issues, and maintaining clear communication with travelers and internal teams.

The Trip

Captain is also expected to provide local insights, support group dynamics, ensure adherence to company standards,



and contribute feedback to improve future trips.

Qualifications

- Trip planning and coordination skills, including itinerary management, scheduling, and basic budgeting for tours and activities.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse traveler groups and handle on-site concerns calmly and professionally.
- Robust organizational and problem-solving skills to manage logistics, adapt to changing circumstances, and ensure trip safety and quality.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi and other regional languages is an advantage.
- Knowledge of travel and adventure destinations, especially within India, and familiarity with local culture, regulations, and safety practices.
- Comfort with using mobile apps, maps, and basic digital tools for bookings, coordination, and real-time communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and to travel frequently as part of trip leadership responsibilities.
- Prior experience in travel guiding, tour leadership, hospitality, or event coordination is preferred.
- Relevant education in tourism, hospitality management, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory; equivalent experience is valued.
