Role Description The TGT SST (Social Science Teacher) will design and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in subjects such as History, Civics, Geography, and related areas for middle and secondary school classes. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning interactive lessons, preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance, maintaining detailed records, and providing constructive feedback to support student progress. The role involves managing classroom activities, promoting critical thinking and ethical values, organizing projects and activities,



and collaborating with other faculty members to enhance the academic program.

The teacher will also participate in parent–teacher interactions, school events, and professional development initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the SRMPS campus in Lucknow.

Qualifications

- Solid subject knowledge in Social Science disciplines (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) and the ability to connect concepts to real-world contexts.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and assessment methods appropriate for TGT-level students.
- Effective communication, classroom management, and student mentoring skills, with a focus on inclusivity and respect.
- Ability to integrate basic educational technology tools for teaching, learning, and maintaining student records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education with specialization in Social Science, or graduation in Social Science with B.Ed. (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at middle or secondary school level, preferably in a CBSE or similar curriculum-based school.
- Commitment to holistic development, co-curricular engagement, and collaboration in a residential/day-boarding school environment.
