Role Description The Textile Designer will work on-site in Kolkata in a full time capacity, collaborating closely with design, production, and merchandising teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and refining textile prints, embroidery designs, and graphic elements for fabrics and finished products. The role involves researching trends, colors, and materials, translating design concepts into production-ready artwork and technical specifications.

The Textile

Designer will coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that designs meet quality standards, cost requirements, and client expectations.



The position also requires maintaining organized design files, preparing samples, and supporting the development of new collections.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Textiles and Textile Prints, with an understanding of fabric types, textures, and surface design techniques.
- Candidates should possess skills in Embroidery design, including creating patterns, motifs, and layouts suitable for various textile applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, especially for developing digital artwork, repeats, and print-ready files.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field are beneficial.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools) and the ability to convert concepts into technical drawings is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, color sense, and trend awareness, along with effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in a textile, apparel, or export-oriented environment and familiarity with production processes will be an advantage.
