About the Role
Baan Phad Thai is looking for experienced and passionate Sous Chef / Jr. Sous Chef professionals to join our kitchen team.
The ideal candidate must have robust experience in Pan-Asian cuisine, with a good understanding of Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, flavour profiles, kitchen operations, and food presentation.
Candidates with experience in Thai / Pan-Asian restaurants, premium dining, fine dining, or 5-star hotels will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations and service.
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion standards.
Have strong knowledge of Pan-Asian cuisine, ingredients, sauces, cooking techniques, and preparation methods.
Ensure recipes and brand standards are followed consistently.
Supervise and guide the kitchen team during service.




Coordinate with the Front of House team to ensure smooth and timely service.
Monitor food preparation, mise-en-place, and kitchen readiness.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Monitor food wastage, portion control, and kitchen costs.
Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and quality checks.
Support training and development of Commis and junior kitchen team members.
Handle service pressure effectively and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Assist the Chef in menu preparation, new dish trials, and operational improvements where required.
Candidate Profile

Pan-Asian cuisine experience is mandatory.
Experience in Thai / Pan-Asian restaurants will be strongly preferred.
Candidates from premium/fine-dining restaurants or 5-star hotels will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of Asian ingredients, techniques, and flavour profiles.
Good leadership and team-management skills.
