Role Description:
Research Assistant - Fermentation & Extraction, Biomanufacturing (Salem) is a full-time, on-site, 1-year apprenticeship role at Mushloop's Salem lab, reporting to the Lab Lead. Day-to-day work: culture maintenance, fermentation setup/monitoring/harvest, rotor/centrifuge operation,



extraction and downstream processing, sample collection, and documenting experimental conditions in LIMS. Pay starts at Rs12,000/month for the first 3 months (training), moving to Rs15,000+/month once running experiments independently. Includes a training bond; eligible for full-time conversion with ESOP on proven contribution at the end of the year.

Qualifications:
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Biotechnology or Microbiology only (hard gate)
- Hands-on lab experience via coursework, internship, or project work
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup workplace; able to follow protocols and troubleshoot basic lab issues
- Lab skill test and culture fit both required
