Role

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong software development and Data Engineering background, along with a deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a software developer or data engineer, proficiency in one or more programming languages, and hands-on exposure to data engineering, data platforms, ETL/ELT, and software delivery processes. This is a leadership role that requires a strong combination of technical expertise, data engineering knowledge, and project management skills to drive successful delivery of complex technical projects.

What You Will Do:

- Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software and data engineering projects

.

- Serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into effective technical and data solutions

.

- Own the

Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

and project delivery lifecycle, ensuring Agile and Scrum best practices are followed.

- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and demos.

- Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and proactively resolve project issues and conflicts.

- Oversee task breakdowns, sprint tracking, effort estimation, resource planning, and project timelines.

- Collaborate with

Data Engineers, Developers, Architects, and Product teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.

- Drive projects involving data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data platforms,



data warehouses, and data modernization initiatives

.

- Monitor engineering and project progress using

JIRA or equivalent Agile project management tools

.

- Ensure effective integration of

DevOps practices, data quality, testing strategies, deployment, and release management

.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

.

- 8–15 years of experience

, with at least

4 years in a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, or Scrum Master role

, along with prior experience in software development or data engineering.

- Strong technical background in

Data Engineering

, with experience in one or more technologies such as

ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, Data Warehousing, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms

.

- Strong understanding of software development, data engineering, system architecture, APIs, and development pipelines

.

- Hands-on exposure to data engineering projects, data platforms, data migration, or data modernization is highly preferred.

- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification is mandatory.

- Proficiency with project management tools such as

JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps

.

- Strong understanding of

Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, project planning, risk management, and delivery management

.

- Solid stakeholder communication, team leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Exposure to

AI/ML or Generative AI projects is an added advantage.
