Position Summary:
At Emerson Measurement Systems & Solutions (EMSSI), we are seeking a Technical Project Lead to provide technical leadership for Hydrocarbon (Liquid/Gas) and Blending & Transfer (B&T;) measurement system projects. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority and solution architect, ensuring compliant, optimized, and customer-focused engineering solutions across complex global projects.
You will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities spanning Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Software disciplines while partnering closely with Project Managers, Customers, Suppliers, and internal stakeholders. This position offers an prospect to drive engineering excellence, influence technical strategy, and deliver innovative measurement solutions that support operational reliability, safety, and sustainability.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Lead and govern the complete technical scope of Hydrocarbon and Blending & Transfer measurement system projects across Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Software disciplines.
- Develop optimized, standards-compliant, and customer-focused engineering solutions aligned with Emerson and industry requirements.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering outputs with a focus on accuracy, standardization, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate design reviews, peer reviews, and critical engineering decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify technical risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to support successful project execution.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers and support technical discussions, clarifications, inspections, and acceptance activities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Proposals, Project Management, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Support planning, scope management,
change management, and technical compliance activities throughout project execution.
- Drive engineering innovation, process improvements, and standardization initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent through coaching, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Support system integration activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), integration planning, commissioning support, and system testing.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in Flow Measurement Systems and Oil & Gas project execution.
- Expertise in Hydrocarbon Metering and Blending & Transfer systems.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Software integration.
- Hands-on experience in system integration, FAT, SAT,
commissioning support, and project execution.
- Technical knowledge of:
- Flow meters, transmitters, and flow computers
- Gas analyzers and liquid sampling systems
- Provers and measurement system components
- Meter sizing and calibration
- Control valve sizing
- Measurement uncertainty calculations
- Knowledge of fiscal measurement and metrology standards, including:
- API MPMS
- AGA Standards
- ISO Standards
- Familiarity with international specifications and customer standards, including:
- NORSOK
- Shell DEP
- MESC
- Regional regulatory requirements
- Experience supporting integration planning, system testing, and commissioning activities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience serving as Technical Lead on large-scale Oil & Gas, EPC, or measurement system projects.
- Exposure to North American and Latin American markets.
- Demonstrated success in engineering optimization, standardization, and innovation initiatives.
- Experience leading technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to influence technical strategy and engineering best practices.
- Experience coaching and developing engineering professionals.
