Role Description The Team Lead Japan is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district, responsible for overseeing Japan-focused travel operations and client itineraries. The role involves managing a small team, assigning tasks, and ensuring high-quality trip planning and execution for travelers visiting Japan. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with travel partners, negotiating rates, and supervising the creation of detailed itineraries and proposals.

Japan will liaise with clients, respond to inquiries, and provide guidance on destinations, accommodations, and experiences that align with Gantu’s luxury standards.



This role also includes monitoring service quality, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with leadership to improve processes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Solid leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing daily operations and coordinating workloads.
- Customer service and client relationship skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and handle escalations professionally.
- Knowledge of Japan as a travel destination, including culture, key cities, attractions, and local experiences; familiarity with luxury travel markets is an advantage.
- Organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple itineraries, deadlines, and details accurately.
- Proficiency in using business and travel-related software tools; ability to work with booking platforms and maintain digital records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.
- Prior experience in travel, hospitality, tourism, or a related customer-facing industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
