Chrysalis High, launching its new Cambridge International (CAIE) Primary curriculum in July 2027 invites applications for the role of English Curriculum & Learning Designer.This is a founding academic position offering a full year — September 2026 to July 2027 — to design, document, and operationalise the entire English curriculum for Grades 1–5, ahead of the first cohort of students.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and document Cambridge Primary English curriculum frameworks, with Schemes of Work aligned to CAIE learning objectives.Build the subject's resource library, lesson plans, and assessment frameworks from the ground up.Serve as the internal subject matter expert on CAIE requirements, and support curriculum documentation for CAIE affiliation.Participate in the recruitment and induction of the founding English teaching team.Represent the academic programme at Open Houses and admissions events,



engaging prospective parents with clarity and authority.Teach primary grade students as an English facilitator when the school opens in AY 2027-28Candidate ProfileMaster's degree in Education or a relevant discipline (Bachelor's considered with exceptional experience)Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a Cambridge International school environment, with demonstrated experience writing Schemes of Work and assessment frameworksCambridge PDQ or CICTL certification preferred.Prior experience as a curriculum coordinator, head of department, or academic lead is an advantage though not a constraint.Comfortable building systems from scratch in a start-up school environment, and confident presenting to parent audiences.About the OpportunityThis role offers a rare chance to shape a Cambridge curriculum programme from its inception, working directly with the Principal in a high-trust environment.
