1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities Major Activities Project Management

- Assist in development of project execution plan as per Transmission service agreement requirement and site conditions.
- Tracking of time schedule as per project management strategy and estimate resource like material, manpower, tools, equipment, service etc.
- Review site performance reports and suggest improvement plans to enhance performance standards.
- Respond to site requirements for resource mobilization in the event of delay.
- Support site team in monitoring test results and providing guidance.
- Instruct to prepare proper system to trend equipment health on dashboard features for easy access to critical information.
- Assist in preparing standard operating procedures for all key site activities.
- Review and track documents & drawing lists and their approval.
- The main objective is to optimize completion schedule with proactive planning and reduce idling of manpower/resources.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Electrical, Mechanical, Testing & Commissioning teams to resolve interfaces affecting civil execution.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and provide direction for improvement and acceleration.
- Minimize idle manpower, equipment, and resources through proactive construction planning and work-front management.

Quality management
- Ensure implementation of approved Civil Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, Method Statements, and quality procedures.
- Monitor quality of concrete, reinforcement, structural steel, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, road works, drainage, and other civil activities.
- Ensure proper inspection and testing of construction materials and completed works.
- Monitor concrete sampling, cube testing, reinforcement inspection, soil compaction, field density tests, material testing, and other applicable quality checks.Ensure and track Factory Acceptance Tests, Proto Test & Destruction Tests as per applicable standards.
- Minimize rework through effective inspection, supervision, and first-time-right execution.
- Ensure timely closure of NCRs, observations, and quality punch points.
- The main objective is to control construction quality at the site.

Construction Management
- Ensure execution is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and construction procedures.
- Review construction methodologies and provide technical guidance to civil contractors and site engineers.Review construction team progress as per Apraava Energy standards and maintain consistency across assets. Provide guidance to site construction team and for any issue report to Head – Transmission.
- Prepare standard construction procedures and assist site team for enforcement.
- Prepare Emergency crisis plans and embark on a critical support system to help the site team deal with any emergency/crisis situations.
- Attending Project Construction co-ordination committee meeting
- Implement Apraava Energy HSSE standard and practice fully at site and train sub-ordinate to imbibe safety culture




- Monitor construction productivity and take corrective actions where performance is below target.
- Verify civil interfaces with electrical equipment layouts, cable routing, structural arrangements, earthing systems, drainage, and access requirements.
- Review and validate contractor measurement sheets, RA bills, extra-item claims, and quantity variations.

Material Management
- Instruct team members for a systematic approach towards procurement of all project items.
- Monitor store processes and its implementation as per Apraava Energy guidelines.
- Ensure proper storage of all the projects items with proper preservation system.
- Guide to procurement criteria. Review procurement quantities in line with criteria.
- Review and recommend procurement /service requests (technical as well as commercial) at first level.

Experience of ORACLE and CMAM system shall be required.

- Prepare and track business procurement plan with commercial team to ensure availability of material/service at right time.
- Monitor for transparency of purchase actions by subordinates. Plan and discuss options and get approval from supervisor for various procurement criteria for efficient, economical, and reliable procurement actions.
- Ultimate objective is to timely procurement, and items/materials should be defect free in procurement actions.

Change Management and Process documentation
- Ensure all civil design modifications, deviations, and site changes are processed through the approved Change Management system.
- Review document quality, adequacy of design for long term suitability. Seek supervisor’s approval for the same.
- Ensure that for any modification/change, Apraava Energy system of change management to be followed.

Monitor its compliance and resolve issues if any.

- Monitor proper final protocols, drawings, and documentation from vendor in case current activities are to be executed. Instruct and monitor vendor to have installations, commissioning and handling over done as per requirement and scope. Include required training in new installation in the scope of vendor and monitor its delivery.
- The above activities are to be performed in order to have a positive short-term and long-term impact on changes in the system.
- Maintain updated civil document registers and ensure obsolete drawings are withdrawn from site use.

Statutory Compliances
- Monitor statutory compliances through monthly report/ compliance management system.
- Instruct immediate and proactive action in case of any potential noncompliance.
- Inform superior in case of any noncompliance.
- Arrange quick actions for any noncompliance.

Seek management help to address noncompliance quickly.

- Also,



co-ordinate with various statutory bodies/ agencies on behalf of site team and represent to meeting/ forum discussion as and when required.
- Team manager must ensure zero statutory noncompliance as per Apraava Energy standards.

Stakeholder Management / Relationship Management
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with the state government utility, central power utility, regulatory body to help in timely addressing of local issues such as right of way issues and payment issues.

Contract Management
- Review contractor’s performance. Also endorse monthly performance during invoice processing.
- Device system to provide feedback to contractors on their performance regularly.
- Right of Way handling, management & payment to various stake holders with highest integrity.
- The main purpose of this activity is to ensure conformity to contractors with respect to agreement and performance.
- Ensure contractors execute works in accordance with contractual requirements, approved drawings, specifications, and Apraava Energy standards.

HSSE Management
- Monitor HSSE performance of all teams against defined objective & targets. Guide and instruct ways to improve SHE performance.
- Support site team in internal and external HSSE audits/ HSSE round reports.

Also monitor audit/round outcome and its speedy compliances.

- Provide strategic input in preparation of risk assessment and MCP. Produce JHSEA for all erection activities.
- Conduct site rounds and PJO to monitor SHE compliances during the job and identify gaps.
- Prepare list of all statutory site requirement and ensure compliance.
- Contribute during internal & external audits.
- HSSE management is one of prime responsibility and must be followed consistently.

People Management
- Identify and deploy action items for competency development in the team.
- Engage with team members. Direct and guide team on functional issues.
- Challenge and motivate team for their growth.
- Resolve escalated conflicts and grievances.
- Set clear and objective goals for the team and drive them towards achieving these goals.
- Conduct appraisal and identify training needs.
- The purpose is that you must maintain and increase team productivity and ensure team member satisfaction.

1. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications

- Minimum education qualifications: B.E./B. Tech./Diploma - Civil

Functional Skills

- Thorough understanding of the EHV substation and/or Transmission line construction/installation activities upto 765 kV.
- Sound Knowledge of regulatory & statutory requirements as per CEA/CTU/PGCIL/RLDC.
- Sound knowledge &

experience safety rules, permit to work system, substation construction management

- Incumbent is expected to implement Apraava Energy safety rules during the construction phase.
- Sound knowledge of Oracle (Plant Maintenance/Material Management) and permit to work system
- Planning and co-ordination, teamwork, analytical and logical thinking, attention to detail.

Relevant and total years of Experience

- Overall Experience: For B. Tech.

Candidate: 8 + years in Civil Construction of EHV substation upto 765 kV For Diploma Candidate: 10+ years in Civil Construction of EHV Substation upto 765 kV
