Position Overview:
The Strategic Alliances Leader will own fresh tie-ups and renewals with medical associations, hospitals and clinics. The role combines senior stakeholder management, Pan-India field engagement, team leadership and internal coordination to move partnerships from opportunity to execution and long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create annual and quarterly alliance plans and prioritize medical associations, hospitals and clinics by geography, market potential and business requirement.
- Build trusted relationships with presidents, secretaries, executive committee members, hospital leadership, clinic owners and other decision-makers.
- Lead the complete partnership cycle, including prospecting, stakeholder mapping, meetings, proposal development, negotiation, internal approval, documentation and activation.
- Own fresh strategic tie-ups and maintain a structured renewal calendar for existing partnerships, initiating discussions well before expiry or review dates.
- Travel Pan-India for meetings, conferences, association events, negotiations and partnership reviews.
- Lead 8 Strategic Associates and 1 Data Associate by allocating geographies and accounts, conducting regular reviews, coaching the team and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Guide the Data Associate in maintaining accurate partner databases, meeting records, renewal trackers, market mapping and management reports.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance,
Legal/Compliance and leadership teams, and resolve escalations affecting tie-ups, renewals or partner deliverables.
- Ensure that proposals, approvals, agreements and commitments are properly documented and aligned with internal governance requirements.
- Provide leadership with regular visibility on the fresh tie-up pipeline, renewal status, significant meetings, pending actions and business risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-6 years of experience in strategic alliances (B2B/B2C), partnerships, business development, institutional sales or key account management, including experience leading a target-driven team.
- Strong stakeholder-management, negotiation, presentation, influencing and relationship-building skills, with confidence to engage senior decision-makers.
- Ability to develop partnership strategies while remaining actively involved in meetings, follow-ups and execution.
- Strong planning, prioritization, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Comfort with data, trackers and business reporting, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, professional maturity and executive presence.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Healthcare Administration or a related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across India as required by the role.
