Position Overview
The Hartford is seeking an experienced Principal Technical Business Analyst to lead business analysis and solution delivery across Property & Casualty insurance capabilities. This role requires deep P&C; domain expertise, strong knowledge of the Duck Creek technology ecosystem, and the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions.
The individual will partner with product owners, business leaders, architects, engineering teams, and external partners to drive initiatives across policy administration, product configuration, billing,



and enterprise integrations. The role will own capabilities from business elicitation and prioritization through implementation, production adoption, and value realization.
The ideal candidate will combine business acumen, technical understanding, and delivery leadership to influence product roadmaps, optimize workflows using AI and automation, and ensure investments deliver measurable business outcomes. Exposure to Life Insurance and Employee Advantages will be valuable in supporting cross-business capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis and Requirements Elicitation
Lead discovery sessions with business, product, operations, underwriting, billing, architecture, and technology stakeholders.
Analyse business objectives, customer journeys, operating processes, pain points, business rules, and regulatory requirements.
Translate complex business needs into clear capabilities, features, user stories,
