Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and STEMNest Academy reserves the right to close the process early upon receiving a strong pool of qualified applicants.The RoleYou will deliver Stem Nest's AI & Automation track in the Mindspire story world — a city where thinking machines and automation systems have stopped making decisions. Every automated process has stalled because the decision rules that powered them have been corrupted.

Students must learn how intelligent systems work in order to restore them.In Grades 1–3, students learn foundational CS through an AI lens: what does it mean for a machine to 'think'? What is the difference between a rule-based system and a learning system? What is automation, and why does it fail?

By Grades 4–6, students build real ML-adjacent projects using tools like Teachable Machine, ML5.js, and Python. Grades 7–12 advance to supervised learning, neural networks, and responsible AI practice.Who We Are Looking ForEssential Qualifications▸ Degree or demonstrable professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science,



or a closely related field▸ Working knowledge of machine learning fundamentals — you understand the difference between supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and rule-based AI, and can explain each to a non-specialist▸ Python proficiency at minimum: you can write, read, and debug Python code.

Experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, Py Torch) is strongly preferred▸ Experience teaching or working with children and young people. This role begins with 6-year-olds. The question 'what does it mean for a machine to think?' must be answerable to a child▸ Comfort with ethical complexity: the Mindspire track addresses AI ethics from Grade 1.
