Role Overview
We are looking for an Engineer – Mechanical Design to support mechanical design and engineering activities for compressor and turbomachinery products and components.
The role provides an opportunity to develop practical experience in mechanical design, 3D modelling, engineering drawings and product development while working closely with experienced engineers and global engineering teams.
The candidate should have strong mechanical engineering fundamentals,
a willingness to learn and an interest in developing expertise in compressor/turbomachinery products.
Knowledge / Skills, Education & Experience
B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
1-4 years of relevant mechanical design experience; fresh graduates with relevant CAD/design exposure may also be considered.
Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering drawing practices.
Basic hands-on experience with Siemens NX or any equivalent 3D CAD tool.
Basic understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with GD&T;, dimensions, tolerances and fits would be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of welding symbols and engineering standards would be an advantage.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn recent tools, technologies and engineering processes.
Knowledge of compressor/turbomachinery components
