Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer at The Agentic Loop.

The Software

Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and infrastructure that power the publication, learning experiences, and AI-driven tools. Day-to-day tasks include implementing current features, improving system performance and reliability, integrating APIs and AI models, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews. The role also involves collaborating with content, product,



and program teams to translate user needs into technical solutions, ensuring secure and scalable systems.

The Software

Engineer will help experiment with and operationalize agentic AI technologies in production environments.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Java, Go).
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud-based architectures.
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts, and interest in agentic AI and production-grade GenAI systems.
- Experience with version control (Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical collaborators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in startup, media, or education technology environments is a plus.
