Overview

As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and quality of our deployment and infrastructure automation systems. You will design and build automated testing solutions for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure workflows, and deployment tooling, partnering closely with DevOps and engineering teams to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This role emphasizes test engineering, automation-first thinking, and infrastructure-aware testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Test Design & Strategy
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for deployment platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure workflows (e.g., Jenkins, custom deployment tools, IaC modules).
- Automation Engineering
- Build and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable automated test frameworks and utilities using TypeScript, Go, Python, or PHP.
- Infrastructure & Pipeline Testing
- Validate correct provisioning, configuration, state management, and rollback behavior of infrastructure deployed via IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Functional & Non-Functional Testing
- Execute and automate functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and security tests focused on deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- CI/CD Pipeline Quality
- Ensure continuous delivery pipelines are resilient, observable, performant, and meet defined service-level objectives.
- Collaboration & Shift-Left Quality
- Partner closely with DevOps, Deployment,



and Software Engineering teams to understand new features early and integrate testing into design and development phases.
- Defect Analysis & Reporting
- Track test execution, defect trends, and quality metrics. Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, and bottlenecks within the deployment toolchain and infrastructure modules.
- Production Support
- Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with production escalations, alerts, and root-cause analysis related to deployment and infrastructure quality.

Required Qualifications

- 2+ years of professional experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles, with a robust focus on automation.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- 2+ years of experience working in a SaaS-based production environment.
- Experience designing and executing end-to-end and system-level test plans.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Go for test automation development.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern SDLC practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Experience with test frameworks and tools such as:
- Playwright, Vitest
- Selenium, TestNG
- Familiarity with observability and log management tools:
- Sentry, Grafana
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized test environments
- Experience testing custom or internal deployment platforms
- Exposure to performance or security testing in infrastructure-heavy systems.
