POSITION: Social Media Marketing Manager
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time
WORK MODE: 100% Remote / Work From Home
WORKING HOURS: Mon–Sat | 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST
PROBATION PERIOD: 6 Months
COMPENSATION: ₹2.4 LPA – ₹3 LPA
About the Role
Bloofy is a digital marketing and creative solutions company working across social media marketing, branding, performance marketing, content creation, and influencer marketing. We believe every piece of content should have a purpose, and every account a clear strategy behind it.
We're looking for a Social Media Manager who can independently own assigned client accounts end-to-end — research, strategy, content planning, creative direction, client communication, and performance analysis, while leading the Account Executive assigned to those accounts. This role is for someone who thinks and acts independently rather than waiting for instructions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy, Research & Positioning
- Develop customised monthly social media strategies for each client — understanding their business, audience, positioning, objectives, and competitors rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. • Conduct competitor research: content formats, posting frequency, creative style, hooks, and engagement patterns, converting findings into actionable recommendations.
- Define clear content pillars and ensure content stays aligned with brand identity, avoiding trends that don't genuinely suit the brand.
- Understand each brand's target audience behaviour, interests, and pain points — and use those insights to keep improving the content strategy.
2. Content Planning & Briefs
- Create detailed monthly content calendars covering static posts, carousels, reels, and stories, balanced across educational, engaging, and promotional content.
- Plan content around key dates, launches, campaigns, and industry opportunities, with enough lead time for smooth execution and approvals.
- Write clear, detailed briefs for the creative team — objective, concept, key message, creative direction, references, and copy/CTA direction — so execution needs minimal back-and-forth.
3. Creative Direction & Content Quality
- Guide designers, video editors, and content creators with clear, actionable briefs and references.
- Review all creatives before client delivery for brand consistency, visual quality, accuracy, and strategic relevance, giving constructive feedback.
- Develop or review captions and copy — strong hooks, on-brand tone, accurate grammar — adapted to platform and audience.
4. Account & Team Management
- Independently own multiple client accounts end-to-end, ensuring all monthly deliverables are planned and executed on time.
- Maintain account-wise strategy and content documentation; track pending tasks and approvals proactively.
- Coordinate internally to ensure smooth delivery of all client requirements, with no unnecessary delays in execution.
- Lead the Account Executive assigned to your accounts — delegate tasks, set clear deadlines, and review their work.
- Train, mentor, and monitor the performance of the Account Executive; ensure client communication and calendar follow-ups are handled properly.
- Identify account-level or execution gaps before they become issues, and act on them rather than waiting for management.
5. Client Communication
- Communicate professionally with clients and participate in client meetings whenever required.
- Present monthly strategies and content plans, and explain the reasoning behind strategic decisions.
- Understand client requirements and feedback, and convert them into clear internal action points.
- Manage client expectations with a professional, solution-oriented approach, escalating important issues to management when required.
6. Approval, Publishing & Platform Management
- Coordinate the full approval process from strategy to publishing, ensuring content reaches clients for approval within timelines.
- Track client feedback and revisions, and coordinate with designers and editors to action them.
- Verify captions, creatives, tags, and mentions before scheduling or publishing; maintain a clear record of content status.
- Adapt content appropriately across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant platforms rather than reposting identical content everywhere.
7. Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor performance across reach, impressions, engagement, saves, shares, profile visits, followers, and conversions where applicable.
- Identify high and under performing content, and understand why it performed the way it did. • Prepare monthly performance reports with meaningful observations not just numbers and recommend improvements for the following month.
8. Trend Research & Campaign Planning
- Stay updated on relevant social trends, formats, and platform features, adapting them creatively rather than copying directly.
- Develop campaign ideas when required objectives, concepts, messaging, and execution — and track their performance.
9. Documentation & Ownership
- Keep strategy documents, competitor research, content calendars, briefs,
and performance reports properly maintained and up to date in the company's project tools.
- Proactively flag delays, strategy gaps, or execution issues, and follow up with the relevant team members without being reminded
Required Skills
- Excellent spoken and written English; strong client-facing presentation skills
- Solid understanding of social media strategy, content marketing, and brand positioning
- Strong competitor research ability, and turning research into actionable strategy
- Strong creative thinking, storytelling, and visual communication sense
- Ability to guide designers and video editors effectively
- Ability to manage multiple brands simultaneously with strong organisation and time management
- Team coordination, delegation, and leadership abilities
- Ability to read social analytics and make strategic recommendations from insights.
Tools You Should Be Comfortable With
- Google Docs, Sheets & Slides
- Canva
- Meta Business Suite
- ClickUp or similar project management software
- ChatGPT and other AI productivity tools
- Instagram Insights & Meta Insights Basic
- Google Analytics knowledge is preferred, and the candidate should be comfortable learning new tools used by the company.
What We Expect From You
- Ownership — complete accountability for the brands assigned to you
- Proactiveness — identify what needs to be done without being told
- Strategic thinking — able to explain why a strategy or idea is recommended
- Accountability for deadlines across tasks, calendars, and approvals
- Proactive communication with clients, managers, and creative team
- Problem-solving — bring solutions, not just problems
- Attention to detail — catch errors before they reach the client • Continuous learning of new trends, tools, and platform changes

- Comfortable working fully remote, Mon–Sat, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST
