The Site Engineer-Electrical is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of electrical installation works on construction sites. The role ensures that all electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Relevant technical certification is an added advantage

Work Experience

- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Electrical Site Engineering within MEP/building services projects
- Proven experience in electrical installation works for infrastructure, resort, hotel, high-rise, or commercial building projects.
- Mandatory experience working on overseas site-based construction projects.
- Prior experience in island-based site environments such as the Maldives is highly preferred.
- Exposure to international construction standards and multicultural site-based working environments is essential.

Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, earthing systems)
- Experience in ELV systems (fire alarm, CCTV, access control, data/communication systems – preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and relevant electrical codes and standards
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical systems




- Familiarity with AutoCAD / Revit for technical coordination (preferred)

Primary Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day electrical installation works on-site
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Coordinate with MEP disciplines (Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV)
- Monitor subcontractors, labor productivity, and site progress
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety procedures
- Prepare daily progress reports, site records, and QA/QC documentation
- Assist in project handover and final documentation submission

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

- Strong ability to communicate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Effective coordination with multinational and multicultural teams
- Ability to clearly report technical issues and site progress
- Good negotiation and problem-solving communication skills
