Job Summary
We are looking for a Shillong Native Cook to prepare authentic Shillong/North-East style cuisine for guests and employees at Snow Storm, Jamshedpur. The candidate should have a passion for cooking, good knowledge of traditional recipes and the ability to maintain consistent taste and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Shillong / North-East Indian dishes as per the required menu.
- Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation of food.
- Prepare ingredients and ensure proper portion control.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
- Follow standard recipes, cooking procedures and portion standards.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items and ingredients.
- Coordinate with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage team for daily requirements.
- Assist in menu preparation and introduce traditional Shillong/North-East dishes when required.
- Minimise food wastage and use kitchen ingredients efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment, utensils and work areas.
- Follow all company food-safety and hygiene policies.
- Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the Chef / Kitchen Supervisor.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: No specific formal qualification required; culinary training will be an advantage.
- Experience:
Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with previous experience in preparing Shillong / North-East cuisine will be preferred.
- Knowledge of traditional Shillong/North-East recipes and cooking methods is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in restaurants, hotels, resorts or institutional kitchens will have an added advantage.
