Compensation : ₹95,000 per month base salary + bonuses
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Long-Form Video Editor to turn MojoOnPC’s flagship events, livestreams and larger gaming concepts into high-retention YouTube videos.
This is not a basic gaming-editing role.
You will be working with large amounts of footage from ambitious productions such as:
Your job is to take hours—or sometimes days—of footage and turn it into a tight, highly entertaining 15–40 minute YouTube video with a clear story, strong pacing and constant forward momentum.
The goal is simple
Make the viewer want to know what happens next until the final second.
Your Responsibilities
Storytelling & StructureYou will be responsible for finding the story inside large amounts of footage.
This includes
- Identifying the strongest storyline.
- Finding the best moments, reactions, conflicts and payoffs.
- Building a clear beginning, middle and ending.
- Removing anything that does not move the story forward.
- Creating robust setups and payoffs.
- Building tension toward major moments.
- Maintaining unanswered questions throughout the video.
- Making complicated events easy for a new viewer to understand.
You should be able to look at a 50-hour event and understand: What is the 25-minute story people actually want to watch?
Retention EditingEvery editing decision should consider viewer retention.
Fast editing alone is not good editing. We are looking for someone who understands when to slow down for emotion and when to move aggressively to maintain momentum.
Editing & Post ProductionYou will:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage through final delivery.
- Work with multi-camera and livestream footage.
- Sync and organize large projects.
- Select music and build sound design.
- Add graphics, subtitles and visual explanations when necessary.
- Work with gameplay and real-life footage simultaneously.
- Create rough cuts and iterate based on feedback.
- Maintain consistency across episodes.
- Deliver organized project files.
Depending on the project, you may also coordinate with:
- Producers.
- Thumbnail designers.
- Motion graphics artists.
- Assistant editors.
- Sound designers.
- Short-form editors.
Who We Are Looking ForThis is not an entry-level role.
We are looking for someone who has already edited high-performing long-form content and understands YouTube storytelling.
Gaming knowledge is valuable, but storytelling ability matters significantly more than knowing every game.
You Should Be Excellent At
- Finding a story inside messy raw footage.
- Understanding why viewers click away.
- Cutting aggressively without making a video feel rushed.
- Building tension and anticipation.
- Creating emotional payoffs.
- Making rules and challenges instantly understandable.
- Knowing which moments deserve more screen time.
- Identifying boring sections without being told.
- Working with feedback quickly.
- Maintaining attention across 20+ minute videos.
- Sound design and music selection.
- Organizing large editing projects.
What We Do NOT WantWe are not looking for an editor whose main skill is:
- Adding memes every five seconds.
- Excessive subtitles.
- Random zooms.
- Constant sound effects.
- Copying another creator's editing style without understanding why it works.
Those tools can be useful, but they do not replace storytelling. The best edit should sometimes feel invisible.
The viewer should simply be unable to stop watching.
Working Style
- Fully remote.
- Long-term opportunity.
- You will work directly with Mojo and the production team.
- Deadlines will vary depending on flagship productions.
- Some projects will contain very large amounts of footage.
- Clear communication and reliable delivery are essential.
We value editors who take ownership. Instead of waiting for exact instructions on every cut, you should be comfortable saying:
“This section is hurting retention, so I changed the structure.”
What Success Looks LikeA strong editor takes something that happened live over several days and turns it into a video where every minute feels necessary.
The final video should
- Have an immediately compelling opening.
- Establish the premise quickly.
- Make the objective and stakes clear.
- Introduce characters efficiently.
- Continuously progress.
- Escalate naturally.
- Create memorable emotional or funny moments.
- Build toward a satisfying climax.
- Leave the viewer feeling that watching the entire video was worth it.
To ApplyPlease send
- A short introduction.
- Links to your 3 strongest long-form edits.
- Your exact role on each video.
- The average length of videos you normally edit.
- Examples of videos where you worked with large amounts of raw footage.
- Creators or channels you have edited for.
- Your editing software.
- Your location and time zone.
- Your availability.
- Your expected rate.
For at least one video, briefly explain:
What did you specifically do in the edit to improve retention or storytelling?
- We care significantly more about the quality of your best work than the number of projects you have completed.
