We are seeking for a talent to lead the design, analysis, prototyping, and qualification of deployable spacecraft systems. You will develop lightweight structures, precision deployment mechanisms, and flight-ready hardware for next-generation satellite platforms while working closely with manufacturing, testing, and systems engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of deployable spacecraft structures, mechanisms, and flight hardware.
- Design lightweight CFRP, aluminum, and precision mechanical assemblies for space applications.
- Support prototype fabrication, assembly, integration, environmental testing, and qualification.
- Perform structural, static, modal, and vibration analyses using FEA tools.
- Develop hinges, latches, HDRMs, deployment systems, and structural interfaces.
- Participate in PDR/CDR reviews, root-cause investigations, and design improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree/PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in either of SolidWorks, Siemens NX, ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, or equivalent CAD/structural analysis software.
- Familiarity with ECSS, NASA, or ISRO spacecraft design and qualification practices.
- 4+ years of experience designing Flight Hardware, Aerospace or Precision mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of composites, lightweight structures,
mechanisms, and manufacturing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with a proactive approach and eagerness to learn.
What You’ll Gain
- Technical ownership of spacecraft structures and deployment mechanisms from concept, design and analysis through prototyping, testing and qualification.
- Opportunity to work on next-generation deployable spacecraft technologies for solar arrays, antennas, booms and other mission-critical systems.
- Work closely with the founding team and cross-functional engineers to shape product architecture and engineering decisions.
- Prospect to build and validate hardware that is intended to fly in space, not just remain on the drawing board.
This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to take ownership, solve challenging spacecraft engineering problems, and help build flight-ready deep-tech products from the ground up.
If you are excited about spacecraft structures, mechanisms and building technologies for the next generation of space missions, we would love to hear from you.
