Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to work in an AI-assisted testing environment.

VARStreet is implementing Agentic AI to help generate specifications, user stories, test scenarios, test cases, test suites, test execution, and Playwright-based automation.

The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for validating the quality and correctness of these AI-generated outputs, identifying gaps or incorrect assumptions, providing structured feedback to improve the Agentic system, and maintaining high-quality functional and automated test coverage.

The role requires strong testing fundamentals, business workflow understanding, API and database testing, and practical automation experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements, workflows, user stories, and business rules.
- Review and validate AI-generated specifications, test scenarios, test cases, and test suites.
- Identify missing, duplicate, incorrect,



or low-value test coverage.
- Validate AI-generated Playwright automation for correctness, reliability, and maintainability.
- Review automated test results and identify whether failures are caused by application defects, automation, test data, or environment issues.
- Provide structured feedback to improve Agentic AI-generated testing output.
- Maintain functional, regression, integration, smoke, and automated test suites.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, API, and database testing.
- Investigate defects using application behavior, API responses, logs, and database data.
- Work closely with developers and product teams to troubleshoot issues and assess release risks.
- Review test coverage and mentor junior QA engineers where required.
- Maintain test documentation, traceability, and test execution records.

Required Skills

- 5–7 years of experience in QA / Software Testing.
- Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong requirement analysis and test-case design skills.
- Experience testing complex web-based or SaaS applications.
- Hands-on REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Good SQL knowledge with experience using joins, filters, subqueries, and data validation.




- Experience with MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases.
- Practical experience with Playwright, Selenium, or a similar automation framework.
- Ability to read, debug, and modify JavaScript or TypeScript-based automation scripts.
- Understanding of locators, assertions, waits, test data, reusable functions, and flaky-test analysis.
- Experience with Git and JIRA or similar tools.
- Strong defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Agentic AI Skills

Candidates should be comfortable using AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar Agentic AI platforms.

They should be capable of:

- Evaluating AI-generated testing artifacts rather than accepting them blindly.
- Identifying incorrect assumptions, missing business scenarios, and inadequate test coverage.
- Reviewing AI-generated automation and execution results.
- Providing clear feedback that helps improve future AI-generated output.
- Using AI effectively while applying independent QA judgment.

AI assists the testing process, but the QA Engineer remains responsible for the quality and correctness of the final output.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SaaS, B2B, CRM, eCommerce, ERP, procurement, or workflow-based applications.
- Experience testing integrations with external systems and APIs.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior QA engineers.
- Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing is an advantage.
