PMO Manager – Commercial Finance & Actuarial For insurance company in Jeddah, KSA
Full time onsite
Reports to: Sr. Director, Commercial Finance & Actuarial
Direct Reports: None (individual contributor role)
Purpose of the Role The PMO Manager acts as the right hand to the Sr. Director of Commercial Finance & Actuarial, ensuring end-to- end delivery discipline across the directorate's portfolio — spanning actuarial science, commercial finance and data analytics. This role owns the tracking, governance, and execution follow-through of strategic initiatives while acting as a trusted advisor and force-multiplier for the Sr.
Director on high-priority matters, executive communications, and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery & Portfolio Management
-Own the end-to-end tracking of strategic initiatives across all directorate functions, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and risks are visible and proactively managed. Build and maintain a single source of truth (dashboards/trackers) for project status, escalating slippage before it becomes a problem.
-Run structured cadences (weekly/monthly reviews) to hold workstream owners accountable for deliverables.
- Executive & Strategic Support
-Act as a thought partner to the Sr. Director — synthesizing complex information into clear recommendations for decision-making. -Prepare board-level and executive committee materials, briefing documents, and presentations on the Sr. Director's behalf.
-Represent the Sr. Director in select meetings, ensuring priorities and messaging remain consistent.
- Governance & Stakeholder Coordination
-Serve as the coordination point between actuarial, commercial finance,
financial control, planning/strategy, and investor relations teams. -Manage the regulatory/reporting calendar and ensure cross-functional submissions are complete and on time.
-Identify process gaps across the directorate and drive standardization/improvement initiatives.
- Special Projects
-Lead ad hoc, high-visibility projects assigned directly by the Sr. Director (e.g., M&A; support, recent function design, operating model reviews).
- Required Qualifications
-8–12 years of experience in a PMO, strategy, chief of staff, or management consulting capacity — ideally with exposure to insurance, startups, technology, financial services, or a regulated industry. -Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a quantitative field; MBA or relevant certification (PMP, PgMP) is a plus.
-Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder portfolios and driving delivery in matrixed organizations.
-Strong command of English (written and verbal); Arabic is an advantage.
-Advanced proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint and Power BI; familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) preferred.
- Key Competencies
-Executive presence — comfortable operating with and briefing senior leadership and board-level stakeholders. -Structured problem-solving — able to break down ambiguous, cross-functional problems into actionable plans.
-Influence without authority — drives accountability across teams without formal reporting lines.
-Discretion and judgment — trusted with sensitive, confidential information.
-Bias for execution — relentless follow-through; closes loops rather than just tracking them.
