Role Description The Senior Manager Statutory Audit role is a full time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The role involves leading statutory audit engagements from planning through completion, including risk assessment, audit strategy development, execution of procedures, and review of work papers and deliverables.

The Senior

Manager will manage and mentor audit teams, ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards, and maintain high-quality client service.

Responsibilities include coordinating with client management, resolving complex accounting and reporting issues, preparing and reviewing audit reports and documentation,



and supporting partners in business development activities related to audit services. The role also requires monitoring engagement timelines, resource allocation, and adherence to firm methodologies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong statutory audit and assurance experience, including leading audits of medium to large entities and interpreting accounting and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, accounting principles (Ind AS/IGAAP, IFRS exposure preferred), and analytical review of financial statements.
- Experience in risk assessment, internal controls evaluation, and compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
- People management skills, including team supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and workload planning.
- Client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to present findings, negotiate timelines, and handle complex discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and maintain documentation quality.
- Comfort with audit tools and MS Office applications; familiarity with digital audit methodologies and data-driven audit techniques is an advantage.
- Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA)
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with evolving regulations.
