Company Description: ConsultEd Education Portal is an academic mentoring consultancy in India, specializing in applications for fully funded Postdoctoral & PhD positions at universities and institutions outside India, in addition to research-based Master's in public universities. Most consultants are European graduates with the expertise to craft strong application documents that help candidates stand out in a competitive admissions landscape.

The team provides end-to-end support, from resume preparation to post-admission relocation assistance. ConsultEd maintains direct contact with major universities, enabling timely guidance on programs, scholarships, and application status.

Role Description: The Senior PhD Consultant role is a remote, contract position focused on advising prospective PhD candidates on admissions strategies and academic pathways across European universities. In this role, the consultant reviews academic profiles, recommends suitable programs, and guides applicants in structuring their research proposals, CVs, and motivation letters. The consultant conducts virtual consultations, provides detailed feedback on application materials, and ensures that each candidate’s documents align with university expectations and funding opportunities.

Day-to-day responsibilities include staying updated on admission requirements and scholarship options, coordinating with internal teams when needed, and maintaining clear documentation of candidate interactions and progress.

The Senior

PhD Consultant also contributes to process improvement, knowledge sharing,



and occasional training or mentoring of junior consultants.

Qualifications:

- Completed PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) in a relevant academic discipline, preferably from a European university (Indian PhD holders with proven excellent records are also gladly invited).
- Experience with graduate admissions processes, especially for PhD programs in Europe or anywhere outside India, including familiarity with research proposal requirements and funding mechanisms.
- Strong advisory and counseling skills, with the ability to interpret academic profiles and recommend appropriate programs and pathways.
- Excellent scientific writing skills for reviewing and improving CVs, motivation letters, and research proposals; keen attention to detail.
- Comfort with work from home, including proficiency in online collaboration tools, video conferencing platforms, and digital document management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple candidate cases, and meet agreed timelines and quality standards in a contract setting.
- Cross-cultural communication skills and an understanding of international student needs; prior experience working with diverse applicants is an advantage.
- Fluency in English

Salary details:

The initial contract will be for two months and will be promoted to a permanent position, following a review and evaluation of your capability, primarily based on client satisfaction, quality of scientific documentation, and your compatibility with ConsultEd's values. During the initial period of two months, the salary will be ₹30,000. At the review meeting, we would be glad to upgrade the salary if you meet our expectations.

A salary of up to ₹50,000 can be expected through step-wise increases based on the results you have achieved with us.
