About The Department:
- The Compliance Review Team (CRT) is a dynamic and innovative team within Franklin Templeton’s Global Compliance department. Operating as part of the firm’s second line of defence, CRT provides independent oversight across Franklin Templeton’s investment advisers and associated service providers globally. The team delivers targeted assurance that the business operates in line with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. CRT identifies and assesses regulatory risk through an agile program of periodic compliance risk assessments and thematic reviews of key regulatory areas. The team works closely with Compliance Officers and business stakeholders worldwide to deliver practical insights and drive continuous improvement in compliance oversight.

- We are seeking an experienced compliance professional to join a growing and high‑impact team. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, exercises sound judgment, and is confident challenging constructively to drive quality outcomes. This role suits someone who builds strong relationships, operates with independence and ownership, and is motivated to contribute to meaningful regulatory assurance and innovation within compliance oversight.
How You Will Add Value?
- You will develop comprehensive scopes and testing programs for thematic monitoring reviews.
- You will support an agile, risk-based compliance review and assessment plan.
- You will test the adequacy and effectiveness of control environments.
- You will strengthen Franklin Templeton’s response to regulatory risk.
- You will identify compliance matters requiring escalation to management.
- You will propose practical solutions to address identified issues.
- You will agree findings with business management.
- You will prepare formal reports outlining review outcomes and actions.
- You will track open issues and perform remediation follow‑ups.
- You will contribute to enhancing CRT review methodologies.
- You will support improvements to reporting approaches.
- You will assist with strategic projects within Global Regulatory Compliance.
- You will guide and mentor junior team members and guest testers.
- You will support innovation in CRT oversight activities.
- You will embed and expand the use of analytics in thematic reviews.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?
Experience, Education & Certifications:
- Minimum three years’ experience in compliance monitoring, controls testing, internal audit, or risk assurance.
- Experience within the financial services industry.
- Robust understanding of the asset management sector and compliance risks.
- Experience with global asset management regulations.
- Knowledge of US, EMEA, and APAC regulatory environments preferred.
- Professional certification such as CA, MBA, CIA, or equivalent preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines.
- Experience or strong interest in automating compliance testing.
- Exposure to analytics, scripting, or workflow solutions preferred.
- Experience with data analytics,
visualization, or dashboarding tools.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building skills across global teams.
- Ability to work independently with accountability and ownership.
