Systems Engineer – DaaS Operations | Data as a Service (DaaS), Hyderabad
Your Area of Work:
As part of Deutsche Börse Group’s (DBG) expanding operations in Hyderabad, you will join the team responsible for the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of platforms operated by Data as a Service department within the CTO area of Deutsche Börse Group. These platforms are central to DBG’s data product strategy, enabling internal and external clients to access, publish, and manage digital products. You will ensure seamless platform operations, compliance with regulatory and security standards, and continuous improvement in service quality, supporting DBG’s global digital transformation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Production Reliability: Ensure seamless uptime and rapid incident response for in a cloud-first environment.
- Cloud-Native Operations: Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on GCP, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Automation & Innovation: Drive process automation and continuous improvement, reducing manual effort and increasing service quality.
- Security & Compliance:
Proactively manage vulnerability patching and ensure compliance with DBG’s security standards.
- Monitoring & Observability: Utilize contemporary monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Graylog, BMC Patrol or equivalents) to detect anomalies and optimize system performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams across locations to deliver robust solutions.
- Documentation: Create clear, user-friendly documentation using Confluence and JIRA, supporting knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
- Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of technological trends and share insights with the team.
Your Profile:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 8+ years in Application Development, application operations, or system operations—preferably in a financial or regulated environment.
- Expertise in developing scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architectures using FastAPI.
- Experience with asynchronous programming concepts (AsyncIO), API performance optimization, and low-latency backend services.
- Proficiency with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy and database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL solutions.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and API security best practices.
- Familiarity with API documentation standards using OpenAPI/Swagger and automated API lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns,
object-oriented programming, test-driven development (TDD), and clean code principles.
- Experience with PyTest, unit testing, integration testing, and automated quality assurance.
- Experience containerizing Python applications using Docker and deploying workloads on Kubernetes/GKE.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with RBAC/ABAC authorization patterns and multi-tenant data scoping at the application layer.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or equivalent search and indexing technologies for large-scale data retrieval.
- Experience with cloud storage integration (e.g., GCS, S3) for document management and file handling.
- Familiarity with SAP integration patterns (e.g., OData, RFC, BAPI, or IDoc) for enterprise data exchange.
- Experience designing and implementing notification services (email, in-app, webhook-based).
- Understanding of workflow and state machine patterns for managing entity lifecycle transitions.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and integration.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Experience in developing RAG and LLM-based chatbox.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- You have profound knowledge of computer systems, software architectures, data structures, automation, and programming and skilled experience in software development – ideally in a financial services area.
- You have very good comprehension, analytical thinking and a high willingness to learn.
- You have fundamental knowledge of cloud technologies and experience with at least one of the cloud platforms GCP, AWS or Azure.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
