We're looking for a Scrum Master who stays close to the team, holds a high bar for Agile practice, and can turn priorities into shipped, high-quality increments without losing momentum. You'll partner directly with a Product Owner and Delivery Manager, coach a self-organizing Agile team, and operate as a trusted voice across Exostar's delivery organization.

You will use AI tools yourself, daily, to run ceremonies, synthesize retrospectives, and keep documentation current. AI-native delivery is not optional at Exostar; it's how we work.

This role partners closely with the Product Owner, Delivery Manager, and Engineering Manager for the team(s) you serve, and operates within Exostar's Agile framework, supporting delivery teams building Exostar's identity, credentialing, and supply chain security platform for customers across the Aerospace & Defense and Life Sciences sectors.

What You'll Own

Agile Delivery Execution

- Ensure all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) are well-prepared, time-boxed, and outcomes-focused.
- Facilitate events to uphold Scrum principles and promote transparency and team alignment.
- Track and share delivery health metrics, including velocity, cycle time, and team health indicators, partnering with the Product Owner and Program Management for data-informed decisions.
- Identify and remove blockers before they become delays; use a structured, time-bound escalation process for systemic issues.

AI-Native Scrum Mastery
- Use AI assistants (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) daily to support sprint documentation, retrospective synthesis, and status reporting, not as optional productivity tools, as standard practice.
- Champion AI-first delivery practices within the team: help the team adopt AI tools responsibly to accelerate ceremonies, documentation, and flow, consistent with Exostar's AI-First SDLC direction.
- Apply AI tools within Agile ceremonies and delivery workflows beyond personal productivity: backlog grooming support, meeting notes, action-item tracking.
- Stay current on responsible AI use, including data handling, safety boundaries, and disclosure,



appropriate to an enterprise, regulated environment.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Support the Product Owner in managing stakeholder interactions by helping maintain team focus and removing disruptions.
- Coach stakeholders on Agile expectations and foster healthy collaboration boundaries.
- Facilitate feedback loops within the Scrum Team during retrospectives and reviews to improve team dynamics and delivery processes.

Continuous Improvement & Mentoring
- Lead retrospectives and collaborate with the Agile Coach and ACE team to assess Agile maturity and drive continuous improvement through tracked initiatives.
- Guide development teams to higher Scrum maturity.
- Mentor the team on Scrum values, Agile principles, and Exostar-specific processes; reinforce ownership through the Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), and Team Working Agreements.
- Help build a productive setting where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it.

Qualifications: You are a great fit for this role if you:

Required

- 7+ years of Scrum Master experience; works independently with minimal guidance, solves complex team and process problems by adapting existing practices to new situations, and is comfortable representing status, risks, and issues directly to management and stakeholders.
- Hands-on daily user of AI assistants (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot); you use these yourself to run your own workflow, not just advocate for them.
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (Definition of Done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
- Applies the INVEST model and supports vertical slicing and story sizing.
- Skilled in facilitation techniques such as Planning Poker, Dot Voting, and Story Mapping.




- Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks.
- Excellent communication and servant-leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Scrum Master certification is a must.

Preferred Qualifications You are exactly who we are looking for if you:
- Have experience leading or supporting a team through AI-adoption change management, distinct from personal AI tool use.
- Are familiar with software development and Jira/Confluence-based delivery tracking.
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar field.
- Have experience operating in a regulated environment (FedRAMP, CMMC, HIPAA, or equivalent), understanding how compliance requirements land in delivery cadence.
