About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ABAP + SAP BTP Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, RAP, OData, CDS, and SAP Integration Suite.

The ideal candidate will combine strong traditional and modern ABAP expertise with cloud development capabilities on SAP BTP. You will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting scalable SAP solutions while following Clean Core principles and SAP best practices.

What You Can Expect From the Job

- Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, enhancements, and RICEF objects, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Workflows, and Forms across SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
- Develop and maintain BAPIs, BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Spots following SAP best practices and Clean Core principles.
- Design and develop OData V2/V4 services using SAP Gateway/SEGW and the ABAP RAP model.
- Build services and extensions for SAP Fiori and SAP BTP integrations.
- Lead technical architecture decisions and establish coding standards across the ABAP workstream.
- Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
- Perform performance tuning, debugging, and root-cause analysis for complex ABAP issues.
- Design and develop integration flows using SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI).
- Build integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using appropriate adapters and integration patterns.
- Develop cloud-native BTP extensions using SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
- Work with SAP Build Apps and SAP Build Process Automation for low-code/no-code solutions and business process automation.
- Configure and manage API Management, Event Mesh, connectivity services, destinations, and BTP services.




- Deploy solutions on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and Kyma runtimes, where applicable.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Prepare solution architecture documents, technical specifications, and unit-test documentation.
- Lead technical workshops and client discussions.
- Support effort estimation, technical scoping, change-request assessment, and solution planning.
- Manage assigned technical workstreams from design and development through testing, deployment, go-live, and hypercare.
- Mentor junior ABAP and BTP consultants and provide technical guidance.

Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on SAP BTP experience.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Classical ABAP
- ABAP OO
- Modern/Clean ABAP
- ABAP in Eclipse (ADT)
- Strong experience with RICEF objects.
- Hands-on experience with:
- IDocs
- ALE/EDI interfaces
- BDC/LSMW conversions
- SmartForms
- Adobe Forms
- Strong experience developing OData V2/V4 services using SEGW/SAP Gateway.
- Hands-on experience with ABAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
- Strong knowledge of CDS Views, SQL, HANA procedures, and AMDP.
- Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI).
- Hands-on experience developing CPI iFlows and configuring adapters.
- Experience with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) using Node.js or Java.
- Experience with SAP Build Process Automation.




- Knowledge of BTP Cockpit administration, including:
- Subaccount setup
- Entitlements
- Service instances/bindings
- Destinations
- Connectivity
- Experience with SAP API Management.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with SAP Build Apps and low-code application development.
- Knowledge of SAP Event Mesh.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture patterns.
- Experience with SAP Kyma runtime.
- Exposure to SAP Joule integration.
- Exposure to AI/ML services on SAP BTP, including GenAI Hub.
- SAP certification in:
- SAP ABAP
- SAP BTP Integration
- SAP CAP
- Experience with SAP Fiori development and BTP-based extensions.
- Strong understanding of Clean Core and cloud extensibility principles.
