It is also licensed for plumbing services by the Government of Maharashtra State. Role Description The Safety Supervisor is a full-time, in office role based in Pune City, responsible for overseeing health and safety practices across plumbing, sanitation, and firefighting projects. The role includes monitoring work sites for compliance with safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and identifying potential hazards.

The Safety

Supervisor will develop and implement safety procedures, deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks, and ensure that personal protective equipment and safety devices are properly used. Daily tasks include investigating incidents and near-misses, maintaining safety documentation and reports, coordinating with project managers and site engineers, and supporting occupational health initiatives.



The role also involves liaising with regulatory authorities as needed and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement among all team members.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply safety standards and regulations in construction and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Safety Training, including conducting safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions for site personnel.
- Knowledge of Safety Engineering principles, with the ability to assess risks, recommend control measures, and support safe design and work practices.
- Experience in Accident Investigation, including root-cause analysis, report writing, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Relevant formal qualification or certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., diploma in industrial safety, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with local and national safety regulations and codes, particularly those related to construction, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary site teams.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate safety records, prepare compliance reports, and use basic computer applications for documentation.
- Prior experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role in construction or infrastructure projects in India is preferred.
