Robotics & AI Engineer – Autonomous Agricultural Robots

DeepPhenoTech Private Limited is a deep-tech startup developing AI-powered autonomous agricultural robots for crop phenotyping, precision agriculture and automated crop protection.

We are looking for a Robotics & AI Engineer to develop and integrate the software and hardware systems that make our agricultural robots autonomous and field-ready.

What you will do

- Develop and integrate ROS2-based robotic systems
- Program and control servo motors, encoders and actuators
- Integrate CAN/CANopen and serial communication
- Develop autonomous navigation, path planning and crop-row following
- Integrate RTK-GNSS, IMU, LiDAR and cameras
- Develop computer-vision solutions for crop and row detection
- Integrate remote control, autonomous/manual modes and safety systems
- Test, calibrate and troubleshoot robots in real agricultural fields
- Work on AI,

Key skills needed

- ROS2
- C and/or Python
- Robotics and autonomous navigation
- CAN/CANopen and motor-controller integration
- Servo motors and encoders
- Computer vision
- RTK-GNSS, IMU and LiDAR integration
- Hands-on hardware–software integration
- Robust debugging and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work with robots in real field conditions
