About the Role

Chandigarh University is seeking an experienced and proactive Manager – Academic Recruitment to lead faculty and academic leadership hiring across Schools, Departments, and Research Centres. The role will be responsible for developing talent pipelines, attracting high-calibre academicians, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring timely closure of academic positions in alignment with the University's growth and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end recruitment for academic positions including Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors, Directors, Deans, Researchers, and other academic leadership roles.
- Develop sourcing strategies to attract high-quality faculty members from premier universities, institutes, research organizations, and industry.
- Build and maintain a robust academic talent pipeline across disciplines.
- Partner with Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Deans, Directors, and academic leaders to understand hiring requirements and workforce plans.
- Manage candidate sourcing through academic networks, professional associations, conferences, research databases, referrals, and recruitment platforms.
- Conduct preliminary assessments and coordinate academic evaluation processes.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Track recruitment metrics, hiring timelines, offer-to-join ratios, and quality-of-hire indicators.




- Support employer branding initiatives to position the University as an employer of choice for academicians and researchers.
- Maintain recruitment records, dashboards, reports, and talent databases.
- Ensure compliance with University policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Eligibility

- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related discipline.
- Minimum 6–10 years of recruitment experience.
- Prior experience in academic recruitment for Universities or Higher Education Institutions is mandatory.
- Proven experience in hiring faculty and academic leadership positions.
- Solid understanding of higher education structures, academic designations, and faculty qualification requirements.
- Experience in stakeholder management with senior academic leaders.
