:

A Raw Material Coordinator for a sinter plant ensures the continuous, efficient supply of raw materials (iron ore fines, coke breeze, limestone, flux, and flue dust) necessary to produce sinter cake for blast furnaces. This role focuses on inventory accuracy, supplier coordination, and ensuring material quality meets production specifications to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities

- Inventory Management & Accuracy: Monitor stock levels of raw materials, conduct physical inventories/cycle counts, and maintain accurate records of material received and used to prevent production stoppages.
- Supplier Coordination & Logistics: Coordinate with vendors to track orders, manage delivery schedules, and address raw material quality issues.
- Material Preparation & Quality Check: Ensure raw materials are prepared and blended properly, including monitoring moisture content and particle size before feeding them into the sintering machine.
- Operational Support: Align raw material availability with production plans, flagging potential shortages or risks early.
- Documentation & Reporting:



Prepare daily reports on material consumption, variance, and inventory levels.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all raw material storage and handling complies with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with sinter plant materials and the sintering process.
- ERP/Software Proficiency: Experience using ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle) and MS Excel for inventory tracking.
- Communication: Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate with vendors and internal teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage high volumes of paperwork and inventory discrepancies.
