We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager / Quality & Laboratory In-Charge to take ownership of our quality and laboratory operations for welding electrodes and welding wires manufacturing.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on quality work, understands industrial standards and testing, and can work closely with both the laboratory and production team to maintain consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day quality and laboratory operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable BIS and Indian Standards (IS).
- Supervise raw material, in-process and finished-product testing.
- Maintain quality records, test reports, certificates and material traceability.
- Ensure proper calibration, verification and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Identify and manage non-conforming material and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support BIS inspections and quality assessments.
- Work with production to identify quality issues and improve consistency.
- Ensure testing and documentation are carried out accurately and reliably.
What We’re Looking For
- B.Sc. or above – minimum qualification.
- 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in areas such as:
- Steel quality
- Welding electrodes
- Welding wires
- Metal manufacturing/testing
- QA/QC or laboratory operations
- Good practical understanding of BIS / IS quality requirements.
- Familiarity with chemical, mechanical and dimensional testing relevant to steel and welding products.
- Experience with calibration, documentation and traceability.
- Someone who can independently take responsibility for the quality and laboratory function.
This prospect is best suited to professionals with prior hands-on industrial quality or laboratory experience. Location The position is based at Kumbalgodu, Bengaluru.
Candidates living in Kumbalgodu or nearby areas are preferred. Candidates from elsewhere in Bengaluru are welcome to apply if commute is not an issue.
