About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to own quality across the project — from structural works through to final finishing — and to ensure every flat meets brand standards before it is handed over to clients. This role is central to protecting the company's reputation and the customer experience: nothing should reach the client that isn't immaculate.
The QC Manager will work closely with the site execution team through construction, and directly with the CRM team at the handover stage, acting as the final quality gatekeeper before a flat is signed off for delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Across Project Stages
- Conduct and oversee QC checks at every stage of construction — structural works, MEP, and all finishing works (flooring, painting, joinery, sanitaryware, electrical fittings, etc.).
- Define and enforce QC checklists and standards for each trade and stage of work, in line with company/brand specifications.
- Identify defects and deviations early, and ensure timely rectification by the concerned contractor/team before work is closed out.
- Maintain QC records and inspection reports for every flat/unit.
Handover Readiness & CRM Coordination
- Conduct final pre-handover inspections of each flat to confirm it is complete, defect-free, and matches brand/finish standards.
- Coordinate directly with the CRM team to plan and execute smooth handover of flats to clients, ensuring nothing is handed over that hasn't cleared QC.
- Maintain a clear handover-readiness status for all units, and flag units that are not yet fit for handover.
Snag List / Client Complaint Management
- Own the process for snag lists raised by clients post-handover — logging, assigning, tracking, and closing each snag.
- Coordinate with the relevant contractors/teams to ensure snags are rectified within agreed timelines.
- Re-inspect rectified snags to confirm resolution meets standard before closing them out with CRM/client.
- Track snag trends across units to identify recurring quality issues and drive corrective action at the source (not just per-unit fixes).
Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Work with the design/technical team to ensure QC standards reflect approved specifications and brand guidelines.
- Flag recurring quality issues to project leadership and recommend process or execution changes to prevent repeat defects.
- Train and guide site teams/contractors on quality expectations and common defect prevention.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Civil Engineering (or a closely related discipline) is required.
- Solid prior experience in quality control for residential real estate construction, covering both structural and finishing works.
- Hands-on experience with flat handover processes and coordinating with CRM/sales teams.
- Experience managing client snag lists end-to-end, including post-handover.
- Strong eye for finishing quality and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a branded/premium residential project where finish quality is a key differentiator.
- Familiarity with QC documentation/checklist systems and defect-tracking tools.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO-related QC training) is a plus.
Key Competencies
- Uncompromising attention to detail — able to catch what others miss.
- Firm but constructive with contractors and site teams on rework/rectification.
- Robust coordination skills, especially at the interface with CRM and clients.
- Organized and methodical in maintaining QC and snag records.
- Calm, solution-oriented approach when handling client-facing quality issues.
