About the Role We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with strong, hands-on manual testing expertise and deep insurance domain knowledge specifically in Policy/Claims Administration, Policy Management, and Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance. The ideal candidate can design and execute thorough manual test plans, insurance business workflows & database validation, and lead a QA team while also managing test strategy and stakeholders. Exposure to test automation (Playwright or Katalon Studio), and API testing is a plus.

Required Skills and Key ResponsibilitiesManual Testing & Quality Delivery

- 8 years of QA experience (with 3-4 years in a senior QA role).
- Design, document, and execute detailed manual test cases, test plans, and test scenarios covering functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Apply insurance domain knowledge to validate policy lifecycle (new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations), underwriting/rating, claims, and billing workflows.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Validate API responses and backend behavior manually (Postman or similar).
- Perform manual database validation (SQL) to verify data integrity and data flow.




- Own end-to-end test coverage across web, mobile, and cross-browser platforms.
- Drive root cause analysis of defects with development teams; maintain explicit defect logs and traceability.
- Familiarity with SDLC/STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Automation (Plus)

- Contribute to or guide automation efforts using Playwright or Katalon Studio where applicable.
- Support API test automation and CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

Leadership & Strategy

- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers; own overall test strategy, plans, and QA roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and Business teams to translate requirements into test scenarios.
- Own QA sign-off/release readiness decisions and report quality metrics to leadership.
- Manage sprint-level QA planning and resourcing in Agile/Scrum environments.

Process & Governance

- Establish QA standards, documentation practices, and defect review processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing efficiency and quality processes.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor/ master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
