Purchasing

- Plan and procure materials, components, equipment, and services required for manufacturing operations.

- Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery.

- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers.

- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to support production schedules.

Import & Logistics

- Coordinate import shipments from China and other international suppliers.

- Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of imported materials and finished goods shipments.

- Prepare and maintain import documentation and ensure compliance with applicable import regulations.

Supplier Development & Localization

- Identify opportunities to source components from qualified suppliers within India.

- Evaluate supplier capabilities, including quality systems, manufacturing capacity, cost competitiveness, and delivery performance.

- Coordinate supplier audits and qualification activities with Engineering and Quality.

Inventory Management





- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess inventory.

- Review inventory requirements and establish reorder points and safety stock levels.

Compliance & Reporting

- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.

- Maintain supplier agreements, purchasing records, and logistics documentation.

- Track and report key purchasing and logistics performance metrics.

- Support internal and external audits related to purchasing and supply chain activities.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or logistics experience in a manufacturing workplace.

- Experience managing international shipments and import logistics.

- Experience sourcing manufactured components and developing suppliers within India.

- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
