We're looking for economists with public policy experience to help shape how AI understands and reasons about the real world. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated policy analysis — making these systems more rigorous, accurate, and grounded in applied economics.
This is a fully remote, adaptable contract role where your domain knowledge genuinely matters. You'll be working alongside top research labs on one of the most impactful technology challenges of our time.
- Review and evaluate AI-generated economics content focused on public policy, regulation, and welfare
- Assess the quality of economic reasoning, including tradeoffs, assumptions, and conclusions
- Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve clarity, rigor, and real-world relevance
- Validate policy scenarios and applied economics examples for accuracy and credibility
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public economics, applied economics, or policy analysis
- Strong command of policy evaluation frameworks and economic tradeoffs
- Able to critically assess written economic arguments, recommendations, and explanations
- Comfortable providing detailed written feedback at a professional standard
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field
- Background in government, think tanks, academic research, or policy consultancy
- Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
