Who are we looking for?

Our clients across BFSI, Construction, IT, and Pharma are undertaking large-scale, complex programs spanning both business transformation and technology delivery. As part of a broader initiative to strengthen program governance and execution discipline, they are seeking experienced consultants to set up, run, or strengthen Project Management Offices (PMOs) that bring structure, visibility, and control to critical initiatives.

The consultant will work closely with client leadership to establish robust planning, governance, and reporting practices, while identifying execution bottlenecks across business and technology workstreams. Beyond day-to-day program oversight, the role will focus on building repeatable PMO frameworks and controls that can be standardized across projects and business units.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish and operate PMO governance frameworks covering planning, scheduling, risk, and dependency management across business and technology workstreams.
- Assess project/program schedules and plans to identify critical path constraints, resourcing gaps, and delivery risks.
- Monitor progress against milestones, track RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) logs, and recommend corrective actions to leadership.




- Facilitate cross-functional alignment between business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and delivery partners.
- Design and standardize PMO tools, templates, and reporting cadences (steering committee packs, dashboards, status reports) for consistent use across projects.
- Identify systemic improvements in governance, planning, and controls that can be institutionalized and rolled out across future programs.

Skills & Qualifications:

- 8–15 years of experience in project/program management, PMO leadership, or project controls, ideally spanning more than one of: BFSI, Construction, IT, or Pharma.
- Proven expertise in program governance, scheduling, RAID management, and delivery/schedule recovery on large or complex initiatives.
- Strong grasp of both business-transformation and technology-delivery lifecycles, with the ability to bridge business and IT stakeholder needs.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders (CXO/steering committee level) and influencing delivery decisions.
- Familiarity with relevant tools such as Primavera P6/MS Project (Construction), JIRA/ServiceNow (IT), SAP/Power BI or equivalent reporting platforms (BFSI/Pharma).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification and relevant postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
