- Job Summary The Production Shift In-Charge / Supervisor will be responsible for managing production activities during the assigned shift to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient plant operations. The role includes manpower handling, process monitoring, quality compliance, documentation, and coordination with other departments.

- Key Responsibilities

- Shift Production Operations
- Execute production plan as per daily schedule.

- Monitor batch processes and ensure adherence to SOPs.

- Ensure proper charging, reaction monitoring, and material handling.

- Maintain shift-wise production records and log sheets.

- Process Monitoring &
- Control

- Monitor critical process parameters (temperature, pressure, time, etc.).

- Ensure in-process quality checks are conducted.

- Report process deviations immediately to Production Manager.

- Coordinate with QA/QC for sampling and approval.

- Manpower Supervision
- Supervise operators, helpers, and contract workers during shift.

- Allocate shift duties and monitor attendance.

- Ensure discipline and productivity on the shop floor.

- Provide on-the-job training to new operators.

- Safety &

- Compliance

- Ensure safe handling of chemicals and raw materials.

- Follow PPE and plant safety norms strictly.





- Report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents.

- Ensure compliance with Factory Act and company safety policy.

- Coordination
- Coordinate with Maintenance team for breakdown issues.

- Coordinate with Stores for raw material availability.

- Ensure smooth shift handover with proper documentation.

- Documentation &

- Reporting

- Maintain batch manufacturing records (BMR).

- Submit shift production report to Production Manager.

- Maintain equipment logbook and housekeeping records.

- Qualification &

Skills Education:

- B.Sc (Chemistry) / Diploma in Chemical Engineering / ITI (Relevant Field) Experience:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical / manufacturing plant

- Experience in batch process handling preferred Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of chemical process operations

- Understanding of reactors, pumps, and utilities

- Basic knowledge of safety and quality systems

- Basic computer knowledge for reporting Soft Skills:

- Valuable team handling ability
- Strong observation and monitoring skills

- Responsible and disciplined approach
- Ability to work in rotational shifts
