Role Description The Product Manager – LAP (Loan Against Property) will be responsible for end-to-end product ownership for the LAP portfolio, including product design, pricing, policy frameworks, and customer experience. This full time, on-site role based in Chennai involves conducting market and competitor analysis, identifying customer needs, and translating insights into product features and process improvements. The role includes collaborating with sales, credit, risk, operations, and technology teams to implement product changes, streamline workflows, and ensure regulatory and internal policy compliance.

The Product





Manager will track product performance, analyze portfolio metrics, and drive initiatives to improve profitability, asset quality, and turnaround time. Daily activities also include preparing business cases, supporting training for frontline teams, managing stakeholder communication, and contributing to digital enablement and automation of LAP processes.

Qualifications

- Strong product management skills with experience in retail lending, preferably Loan Against Property or secured mortgage products.
- Proficiency in market research, competitor benchmarking, and data analysis to drive product and portfolio decisions.
- Knowledge of credit, risk management, and regulatory guidelines related to property-backed lending.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, technology, and compliance, to execute product initiatives.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills for policies, process notes, and training materials.
- Experience with digital lending journeys, process automation, and customer experience enhancement is an added advantage.
- Masters degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or MBA in finance or marketing is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge in excel, powerpoint is a must
- Prior experience in NBFCs or banks handling LAP, home loans, or SME secured products will be highly beneficial.
