About the Role The role involves managing procurement activities and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for operations.

Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of mechanical and electrical components, consumables, capital equipment (CAPEX), and various services.
- Handle domestic and international sourcing activities to ensure uninterrupted supply and competitive procurement costs.
- Float RFQs/RFPs, evaluate supplier quotations, and conduct commercial negotiations on pricing, lead time, payment terms, and BAFO (Best and Final Offer).
- Collaborate with engineering teams, internal customers, and suppliers to obtain technical and commercial clarity.
- Create and manage purchase orders, monitor order status, and ensure timely material deliveries.
- Coordinate with Stores and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and invoice processing.
- Work closely with Quality, Logistics, EXIM, Finance, Engineering, and Stores teams to meet business objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and procurement KPIs related to cost, quality, delivery, and service levels.
- Drive digitization initiatives, procurement automation, and data-driven decision-making processes.
- Manage the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle with a sound understanding of cash flow management, working capital,



and P&L; impact.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.

Required Skills

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Direct Procurement.
- Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Aviation, Automotive, Heavy Engineering, or Manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Proven experience handling high-volume procurement transactions and supplier management.
- Solid working knowledge of SAP MM (SAP S/4 HANA preferred).
- Expertise in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Vendor Management.
- Experience managing domestic and international suppliers.
- Understanding of import/export processes and commercial procurement practices.
- Knowledge of procurement analytics, reporting, and process digitization.

Preferred Skills

- Aerospace or Defence procurement experience.
- Exposure to global sourcing and supplier development.
- Cost optimization and value engineering experience.
- Knowledge of commercial aspects including cash flow, working capital, and profitability impact.
