Role Description

Freshview Interiors is looking for a Procurement Officer – Interior Fit-Out to manage end-to-end procurement activities for interior fit-out projects.

The role involves sourcing interior materials, furniture, fixtures, hardware, equipment, subcontracted services, and other project requirements in line with approved specifications, budgets, quality standards, and project schedules.

The Procurement Officer will work closely with the Project Management, Design, Estimation, Accounts, Production, and Site Teams to ensure materials and services are procured at competitive prices and delivered to site on time.

The role requires strong vendor coordination, commercial awareness, negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement for interior fit-out projects.
- Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, material schedules, and project requirements.
- Source materials, furniture, fixtures, hardware,



and services from suitable suppliers and manufacturers.
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, specifications, lead time, and commercial terms.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders, Work Orders, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with project and site teams to understand material requirements and required delivery dates.
- Maintain a procurement tracker and monitor all pending and completed purchases.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Coordinate with stores/site teams for material receipt and delivery documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, lead times, and compliance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project specifications.
- Support inventory and material control activities.
- Maintain accurate vendor, quotation, purchase order, and delivery records.
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier and subcontractor database in Chennai and other project locations.
- Coordinate with Accounts regarding supplier invoices, payment terms, and supporting documents.
- Resolve procurement-related issues involving quality, quantity, delivery, pricing, or specifications.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, approved budgets, and ethical procurement practices.

Key Procurement Categories The candidate should preferably have experience sourcing:

- Plywood, MDF, HDHMR and other boards
- Laminates, veneers and decorative finishes




- Furniture and modular furniture
- Furniture hardware and accessories
- Gypsum boards and ceiling materials
- Flooring materials
- Glass and aluminium works
- Lighting and electrical accessories
- Paints and wall finishes
- Sanitaryware and bathroom accessories
- Upholstery and soft furnishings
- Joinery and custom-made furniture
- Metal and fabrication works
- Signage and graphics
- Specialist subcontractor services

Qualifications

- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in interior fit-out or construction.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, suppliers, and market pricing.
- Proven experience in quotation comparison, vendor selection, negotiation, and Purchase Order management.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills.
- Good understanding of project schedules and material lead times.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of ERP or procurement software is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Chennai-based vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors is preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate a detail-oriented, ethical, and cost-conscious approach to procurement.
