PCB Design Intern — Roberon TechnologiesRoberon Technologies is looking for a hands-on PCB Design Intern to work on advanced electronics for drones, robotics, and other custom robotic systems.

This role is best suited for someone who is genuinely strong in PCB design and layout and has practical experience taking PCB designs from schematic to fabrication. We are particularly looking for candidates with experience designing multilayer PCBs and who have fabricated at least 1–2 PCBs themselves.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop multilayer PCBs for drone, robotics, and embedded-system applications.
- Create schematics, component selections, PCB layouts, and manufacturing-ready design files.
- Optimize PCB layouts for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and space constraints.
- Work with analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Collaborate with electronics, mechanical, robotics, and manufacturing teams.
- Perform PCB design reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and design improvements.
- Support the complete PCB development cycle from schematic → layout → fabrication → assembly → testing/debugging.
- Ensure designs follow appropriate PCB design and manufacturing standards.

Required Qualifications

- Robust fundamentals in electronics and electrical engineering.
- Strong practical knowledge of PCB design and layout.
- Experience designing multilayer PCBs.
- Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
- Understanding of PCB stack-ups, routing, grounding, power planes, clearances, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Hands-on experience fabricating at least 1–2 PCBs.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.




- Ability to explain your PCB design decisions and troubleshoot fabricated hardware.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with 4-layer or higher PCBs.
- Experience designing PCBs for drones, robotics, embedded systems, motor controllers, sensors, or power electronics
- Experience taking a board through fabrication, assembly, bring-up, and debugging.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.

ImportantWe are looking for candidates who can demonstrate their PCB design skills through actual work. Candidates should be prepared to show PCB designs and photographs/examples of boards they have previously fabricated and explain their role in designing, manufacturing, assembling, and testing them.

Candidates with real hands-on PCB fabrication experience will be strongly preferred over candidates with only academic or theoretical PCB experience.

Location & Work ModeThis is a full-time, paid internship based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work arrangement.

Bengaluru-based candidates are strongly preferred, and candidates who are able to work regularly from the Roberon Technologies office will be given preference, as this is a hands-on hardware development role.

The role offers some flexibility to work remotely, but candidates should be comfortable coming to the office for PCB development, hardware testing, debugging, and collaboration with the engineering team.
