About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer who enjoys building products, solving complex problems, and taking ownership from idea to execution.

You’ll work in a lean, high-ownership engineering team where your technical decisions directly influence the product and customer experience. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about engineering excellence, thinks beyond just writing code, and enjoys building scalable, reliable systems.

What You’ll Do

- Design and build scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services and REST APIs .
- Work extensively with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Express.js .
- Drive system design, architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct PR reviews , mentor engineers, and raise the bar for engineering quality.
- Optimize APIs, database queries, latency, and overall backend performance.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Leadership to turn customer problems into impactful solutions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects — from understanding the problem to shipping and improving the solution.
- Stay close to the product and customers to understand what we’re building and why .

What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience , with previous experience as a Backend Engineer or Lead Backend Engineer.
- Expert-level Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Express.js experience — these are non-negotiable.




- 2+ years of technical/team leadership experience .
- Strong understanding of system design and scalable backend architecture .
- Strong SQL and database performance optimization skills.
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs .
- Good understanding of caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, or SQS is a plus.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
