Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer / SDET with strong experience in Python, Playwright/Selenium, API testing, SQL, data validation, and data integrity testing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing robust automation frameworks, validating web applications and APIs, performing database-level validations, and ensuring end-to-end data accuracy and integrity across systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Playwright/Selenium.
- Develop automated test scripts for web applications covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Perform API testing for RESTful services, including positive, negative, boundary, and error-handling scenarios.
- Validate API responses, request/response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, and data consistency.
- Write complex SQL queries for backend/database validation.
- Perform data validation and data integrity testing across source and target systems.
- Validate data transformations, mappings, completeness, accuracy, consistency, and uniqueness.
- Perform end-to-end validation to ensure that data remains accurate and consistent across UI, APIs, services, and databases.
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track defects through to resolution.
- Build reusable automation components and contribute to improving automation coverage and framework capabilities.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Analyze test failures, identify root causes,



and work closely with developers and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Participate in test planning, test case design, execution, reporting, and release validation.
- Contribute to automation strategy, coding standards, testability improvements, and overall quality engineering practices.

Mandatory Skills
- Python
- Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
- Ability to develop maintainable, reusable, and scalable automation scripts/frameworks.
- Good understanding of Python OOP concepts, exception handling, collections, functions, and modules.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as PyTest is preferred.
- UI Automation – Playwright / Selenium
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
- Experience automating web applications across different browsers.
- Good understanding of locators, waits, assertions, browser interactions, screenshots, and test execution.
- Experience developing or contributing to automation frameworks.
- Ability to create stable and maintainable UI automation scripts.
- API Testing
- Strong experience testing REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with tools/frameworks such as Postman, Python Requests, or equivalent.
- Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, JSON/XML, and API contracts.
- Ability to automate API test scenarios using Python.
- SQL
- Strong proficiency in SQL.




- Ability to write complex queries involving joins, subqueries, aggregations, CTEs, and data comparisons.
- Experience validating backend data against application/API responses.
- Ability to investigate data discrepancies using SQL.
- Data Validation & Data Integrity Testing
- Strong experience in data validation and data quality testing.
- Experience validating data across multiple systems, databases, APIs, and application layers.
- Understanding of data completeness, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, and referential integrity.
- Experience validating source-to-target data mappings and transformations.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies and integrity issues.

Valuable to Have
- Experience with PyTest, pytest-bdd, or equivalent testing frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Git/version control.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker/containerized test execution.
- Knowledge of performance or load testing.
- Exposure to data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or data warehouse testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Excellent understanding of software testing concepts and automation best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate complex data and application issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and data teams.
